In 2015 110 researchers defended their doctoral dissertations across the four departments of Economics, History, Law and Political and Social Sciences, and 11 researchers defended LL.M. theses in Law . We had more than 1200 applicants for the places in our prestigious Max Weber and Jean Monnet Post-doctoral Fellowship programmes, for which 65 were selected. As in 2014, in 2015 our academic community produced research resulting in more than 1000 publications, ranging from monographs to peer-reviewed articles to research reports.

EUI research faculty and staff in the departments and at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies worked on more than 70 different funded research projects, twelve of which were funded by the European Research Council.
