Visiting fellows and students hosted by a Department or the Robert Schuman Centre

Access to the Library
Admission to the EUI Library is by means of a valid EUI Card
Monday to Saturday, 8.30-22.30
Library Closures
Borrowing
Visiting Scholars for more than 6 months can borrow up to 60 items.
Visiting Scholars for less than 6 months but more than one month can borrow 10 items at any one time, but are not entitled to use the InterLibrary Loan Service
Visiting Scholars for one month or less do not have borrowing rights
Books can be taken on loan for one month and can be renewed twelve times if not required by another reader
Periodicals, reference material and most European documentation cannot be borrowed and should be consulted or copied in the Library

Accessing Electronic Resources
EUI fellows and visitors have access to the Library's licensed
Electronic Resources
Access to and use of these electronic resources is governed by
copyright laws and individual license agreements
How to Access E-Resources
Interlibrary Loans
EUI fellows and visitors of more than 6 months are entitled to use the
ILL service
Inter-library loans may not be renewed
Users may make requests any time up to two months before their definitive departure from the Institute

EUI Library has limited funds for new acquisitions. Suggestions for important new books are always welcome and should be made by using the
on-line suggestion form
Rarely used and out-of-print materials should be requested through
Interlibrary Loans
Assistance and Research Skills
The Library
Information Specialists
help users needing assistance with in-depth research questions or with using electronic resources and the Library's special collections
