The culture of politics, economics and international relations.

Posted on Wednesday 8th May 2013

The University of Aarhus organises from 23rd to 25th May the Matchpoint Seminar in Aarhus, which aims at creating dialogue between Aarhus University and the surrounding society concerning subjects of wider societal interest. This year the seminar focuses on the role of culture in contemporary politics, and, more broadly, discusses the methods by which the significance of culture for politics and society may be studied. Individual papers deal among other issues with social trust, recognition and multicultural citizenship or states, economies and national discourses. Workshops will touch upon the issues of religion and multiculturalism, human rights and culture and states and social capital.

ACCEPT Pluralism consortium participates by organising a panel entitled 'Toleration and the Mainstreaming of Radical Right Discourses', where research findings from Denmark, Hungary and Greece will be presented.
