Migration Policy Centre

Posted on Thursday 17th May 2012

The Launching Event of the Migration Policy Centre (MPC) will take place at the European University Institute, on 25th and 26th June, in the presence of EU Commissioner for Home Affairs, Cecilia Malmström.

The launching event will pursue three goals:

-Informing the public that the MPC has been founded with the support of the European Union, with a mission of conducting research on global migration to serve migration governance needs at the European level;

-Presenting research results on two major developments profoundly affecting migration and the way that migration is perceived by public opinion and politics: the economic crisis in Europe and the radical political changes unfolding in the Arab world;

-Holding the first meeting of MPC Advisory Board.

Details can be found in the preliminary agenda.
