Fourth Project Meeting,
Central European University, Budapest, Hungary, 7-9 March 2012
The fourth meeting of the ACCEPT PLURALISM project was held on 7-9 March 2012 in Budapest, Hungary and was hosted by the Central European University. All research teams along with the NGOs participating in the project (Banlieues d Europe, Mediterranean Institute of Gender Studies and Churches Commission for Migrants in Europe) were brought together to discuss progress so far and decide on future research, activities and dissemination issues.
A debate between Tariq Modood and Marcel Maussen took place in the evening of Thursday, 8th March, with title: Going Beyond Toleration: Should liberal democratic states also recognize collective identities? For a summary of the main points in the debate see the ACCEPT PLURALISM blog.
