Ph.D. – University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. \

ingeVersteegtWith intercultural psychology as my background, I have been involved in interdisciplinary research which combined theories from social psychology, sociology, and religious studies. My Master’s thesis research was a comparison of identity struggles of orthodox-religious Islamic and Christian young women in the Netherlands. At the Trimbos Institute in Utrecht, I collaborated as an interviewer for research on women in shelters. In December 2010 I defended my doctoral thesis ‘Diversity in the Classroom; The Teacher’s Perspective’. Since February 2011, I am employed temporarily at the University of Amsterdam, at the department of political studies, to work on the ACCEPT research.
